Set up a judgement model
Choose who reviews your work: Jev through Not Organic, Jev with your own TypeSafe key, or a model on your device.

What the judgement model does
The judgement model reviews your work separately from the tutor. Changing your chat model does not change the reviewer. Find it in Settings, Models & Providers, Judgement.
Jev through Not Organic (recommended)
- Choose Jev · Not Organic · Recommended in the picker.
- Choose Connect Not Organic, or Authorize judgement access if your account is already connected.
- Finish sign-in. Settings should show that judgement access is connected, then retry the review.
- Hosted reviews send relevant work through Not Organic and may use account credit. If access is unavailable in your build, use your own key or a local model.
Jev with your own TypeSafe key
Choose Jev · your TypeSafe API key, enter your model ID (default jev-latest), paste your key and save it. TypeSafe bills you directly, and this option needs no Not Organic account or credit. The key stays on this device and is relayed through Keating only while a review runs.
On this device
In the desktop app, download MiniCPM5 2B from Offline tutor, then select it in the picker. Julia 1 is a small local decision model you can install from the same settings. Browser models currently support tutoring but not judgement scoring.
Other options
Reviews can be unavailable or uncertain, and connecting a reviewer does not guarantee a draft passes.
- Off keeps built-in checks only.
- Advanced review options set request-token limits. Hosted Jev defaults to 64,000 and 32,000 tokens.
- Calibration takes a verified calibration file. Installing a model does not calibrate it, so automatic grading waits for verified calibration.
